WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE Free INITIAL consultation?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
After the free initial consultation it's £40 per session.
Where and HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET?

HOW MANY SESSIONs will I NEED?
The number will vary depending on the complexity of the issues you want to work on, what you'd like to gain from therapy and what feels right for you. As a rule of thumb, psychotherapy tends to take months or years as opposed to weeks.
CAN WE WORK ONLINE?
Generally no. The majority of sessions take place face-to-face, however there may be circumstances where working online can take place.
IS THERAPY CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes, your privacy is of the utmost importance and what you share in therapy will be held in confidence. There are however legal and ethical conditions around that. For example, if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others the information would need to be shared. Furthermore, anonymised aspects of the sessions are shared in supervision as a part of my professional guidance and development. The initial consultation is a good opportunity to get clarity on this and ask any questions.
Are you a part of a REGULATORY body?
Yes, I am a trainee member of the UK Councils for Psychotherapists (UKCP) and are bound by their ethics and code of conduct. See link to UKCP website
